    Tokai Shoji was founded in Komagome, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, and began selling screen printing materials and equipment.

    1974

    Tokai Shoji Co., Ltd. was established, the plate-making department was launched to begin photoengraving for screen printing.

  • December

    1977

    New headquarters building constructed and relocated to Higashitabata, Kita-ku, Tokyo.

  • September

    1978

    Tokai Shoji Co., Ltd. established the Gifu Factory in Hachiman Town, Gujo District, Gifu Prefecture (now Hachiman Town, Gujo City), and began manufacturing screen printing machines.

    1980

    Gifu Factory reorganized as Tokai Seiki Co., Ltd., and Tokai Seiki Co., Ltd. was established, and started designing manufacturing printing machines

    1982

    Osaka Sales Office opened in Higashinakajima, Higashiyodogawa-ku, Osaka.

    Overseas Dept. established to begin exploring overseas markets.
